In My Mailbox (4)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren. Check out her blog for more YA bloggers and the books they received this week!

Once again I had a week where individual pictures of each book's cover cannot suffice. I need to stop find such great bargains, or pretty soon my TBR piles will overwhelm my room!

Perfect Fifths (ARC) by Megan McCafferty

I won this in Megan's Contest-Within-a-Contest! Couldn't believe my luck. I'm usually not that lucky. Have started to read this with trembling hands. Oh yeah, when I decided to open it Friday night in search of something good to read, I saw that she had signed and personalized the title page for me. Wow!

Perfect Fifths is coming out in hardcover on April 14, 2
009. Jessica Darling fans (and there are many of us out there), preorder your copy now! (This is the continuation of my shameless plug, which helped me win the ARC.)

How to Ditch Your Fairy by Justine Larbalestier
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom (given to me by my "secret psycher" for the swim meet last weekend)
Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott
Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane by Suzanne Collins
Split by a Kiss by Luisa Plaja (given to me by the fantastic author herself when she saw me pining for it on another person's blog! Thank you so much, Luisa!)
Shug by Jenny Han
Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life by Wendy Mass
Something Rotten by Jasper Fforde (I'm collecting the entire Thursday Next series in hardcover...)
Love Undercover by Jo Edwards
Kissing Snowflakes (ARC) by Abby Sher
Kitty Kitty (ARC) by Michele Jaffe
True to Form by Elizabeth Berg

These 4 are from a deal I made with the wonderful Holly, whom I found on PaperBackSwap! Yay!

And here, Alea, because you asked for a slightly "before" picture of my big box o' fun that came from BookCloseouts:
A well-packed box that opened up to reveal...

I, Coriander by Sally Gardner
Vampire Diaries Omnibux 2: The Fury and Dark Reunion by L. J. Smith
Guyaholic by Carolyn Mackler
Evernight by Claudia Gray
A Curse Dark as Gold by Elizabeth Bunce
Love, Meg by C. Leigh Purtill

The Rules of Survival by Nancy Werlin
I Love You, Beth Cooper by Larry Doyle
Water: Tales of Elemental Spirits by Robin McKinley and Peter Dickinson
This Is All: The Pillow Book of Cordelia Kenn by Aidan Chambers
Dragonhaven by Robin McKinley

From the library:

3 Willows: The Sisterhood Grows by Ann Brashares
Wake by Lisa McMann

Whew. That was a lot of books. I'm kind of overwhelmed right now. Any suggestions as to which book(s) I should read next??

  1. Alea has been trying to tempt me to go to BookCloseouts. I have resisted thus far, but after seeing your pictures, I am growing weak.

Of all of those, I would read Kitty, Kitty first.

  3. Lenore, Alea and I know that you are going to break down REALLY soon, because who can resist 60 to 70 percent off list price deals on books? And hahahaha at your comment, Alea, because I totally know what you are going through right now. :)
