BBAW Award

I am... in shock. I don't really know what to say. I hardly dared let myself imagine this outcome could happen, and yet here it is, staring me in the face:

It is a staggering honor that's hard to live up to, and even now I feel like I'm supposed to, like, compose the next memorable Oscar speech that will go down in history among the whole "Taylor Swift and Kanye" VMAs incident (except in a good way). Or something. But clearly my brain has decided that good writing will elude me today (not to fear! it's preparing itself for good future posts! its incubation period is rather long!), so I just want you guys all to know this:

Regardless of what you might say, I couldn't have been given this honor without you. It has been my pleasure to write with you guys in mind, and to hear what you have to say in return. And even though I can't go around individually thanking every single person who's ever commented on my blog, please just know that I do read all of your comments and take them to heart, and couldn't imagine writing for anyone else except you and me. So a huge THANK YOU to all the bloggers, authors, publicists, librarians, booksellers, readers, writers, book-lovers, and FRIENDS who have supported me, made me laugh, given me advice, given me books (hee! I like you ^_^), challenged me, made me think, encouraged me, asked me questions, critiqued me, reminded me to get my act together when I fall apart (I will get that Vampire Diaries review to you, Ban!), told me to chill out when I get too flustered...and above all, to those who have given me a reason to continue writing.

Which is all of you.
