PRODIGY Giveaway!

Have you been eagerly awaiting PRODIGY, the sequel to Marie Lu's electrifying debut Legend? Here's your chance to win a copy of Legend plus some cool swag!

About Prodigy
Prodigy is the long-awaited sequel to Legend, the must-read dystopian novel for all YA fans of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Divergent by Veronica Roth. A brilliant re-imagining of Les Miserables, the series is set to be a global film sensation as CBS films have acquired rights to the trilogy.

June and Day arrive in Vegas just as the unthinkable happens: the Elector Primo dies, and his son Anden takes his place. With the Republic edging closer to chaos, the two join a group of Patriot rebels eager to help Day rescue his brother and offer passage to the Colonies. They have only one request—-June and Day must assassinate the new Elector.

It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long.

But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengeance, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong?

About Legend
What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.

June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.

  2. Oh I didn't see I needed to answer a question in my comment. I would like to see Frankenstein turned into a dystopian story. It's is one of my favorite books, and it would be interesting to see how it could be done.

  3. I'd like to see a modern version of Of Mice and Men. It's such a classic, I'd like to see how an author adapts it. Although I have to admit, Les Mis is an awesome re imagining as well.

  6. Ohh, you are Awesomeface, Steph. Everybody's excited for Prodigy, but I haven't even had a chance to discover why, no matter how badly I've been pining for Legend. AND NOW YOU'RE GIVING US THE OPPORTUNITY.

Les Miserables? For reals? I HAD NO IDEA. I just no a lot of people tend to describe this as sad. For me, the two major retellings I wanted told already have been. I've wanted a unique and interesting reinterpretation of Cinderella, and I've got that in Cinder by Marissa Meyer which I CAN'T EVEN. And then, I've wanted a solid, possibly dark retelling of Alice in Wonderland because I never could get into the original story despite how drawn I am to most of the modern reimaginings of the characters in the book. I think I may have found that in the upcoming release of Splintered. Which means, yes, I'm totally lucky. And I'm super easy to please, so I have no doubts that Splintered will be good. :)

  9. How about Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, brought up to date and about a family who has recently lost their home due to the economy.

  10. I'd love to see The Secret Garden! It's one of my favorite books :) And I had no idea Legend was a reimagining of Les Mis! Love that book too.

  11. Wait...what? A retelling of Les Mis?! I've heard good things about Legend already and have been planning on reading it, but knowing that the sequel pays homage to one of my favorite stories/musicals of all time makes it that much better! And I'd like to see The Odyssey or The Iliad reimagined.

    Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

  13. I had no idea this was based off Les Miserables!!
My fav classic is Jane Eyre so I would prefer to see it reimagined even though it has been done in a few creative ways already (Beastly...).

  14. I don't know many classics so I'm not sure :/

  15. You've got me thinking about classic French literature, so I would say The Count of Monte Cristo could be an AMAZING reimagined dystopian novel - imagine what the character could do to alter his appearance while returning to his former life and setting his revenge plan in motion?
