April is "Catch Up on Reviews" Month!

Happy April! If you are the type to come up with cool pranks (not me--although I have ideas, and that might change for my senior year) and search for plastic eggs containing treats (me--although the availability of this activity is severely limited), then you are going to have a good week, clearly. Me, I've just begun to climb out of a dark and deep hole of schoolwork that had basically sucked all my energy and sleep for the past four days. I hope I don't have to do that again anytime soon.

Anyway, since March was unofficially "Read Bought and Borrowed Books" for me, I'm declaring April to be "Catch Up on Reviews" Month! Authors and publishers who have sent me solicited books, rejoice. I will try to get them read this month even if I have to stay up late and fail classes to do so--toooootallllyyyy kidding at that, by the way. It was a joke, Swarthmore. A joke! I want to get as many review  books read before I go to BEA and my review pile threatens to drown me yet again.

Anyway. So do you guys have any reading plans for this glorious spring-beckoning month?

  1. My reading plans are just to try to reduce the review books on my pile and also to make sure I get more of my Christmas presents read.

  2. I think I am taking a serious leaf out of your book and getting some serious reading done. I feel like i've been a total slacker this year because i've not read nearly half as much as I wanted to, but like you say, real life things do tend to have a higher sense of urgency. I have even made a to do list on the stickies thing on my laptop, so everytime I turn on my computer it glares at me menacingly. That ought to do the trick.

Hope the reading catch up goes well :-)

  3. Same boat...trying to bail! (j/k)
I'm with you. I'm going to BEA and I need to clear my shelves for some incoming things!! :P
What day are you going to be at BEA?

  4. Oh boy, I would love to declare myself on a reading binge... but I feel like I'm not going to get much done in the coming month! All of my reading time will be dedicated to review books, though, as I seem to have totally overextended myself with ARCs. Oy. Luckily, I'm enjoying them all so far :)

  5. I plan on reading and reviewing more, although realistically, this probably won't happen until May. School (and laziness) are consuming my life. ha.

  6. Good luck! I'm hoping to make April catch up on writing reviews month. I'm so far behind now that I really would like to get to the point where I write a review directly after reading the book.

  7. I should copy you and make this a catch up on reviews month as well! It's hard though, as soon as I finish a book, I want to get to the next.

    Best of luck to you!
